We look forward to a nice experience with you! Currently, Kino am Olympiasee is considered an open-air event: no testing required, no proof of vaccination required. To ensure that everything runs smoothly, please follow the instructions below.

For security reasons, the City of Munich obliges us to carry out bag checks at the entrance.

Please support us and prepare your visit accordingly: Feel free to bring food, unbreakably packed. Except for your own water bottle (up to 0.5 liters, unbreakable), drinks are not permitted. The following are not permitted: bottles, glass and fragile items in any form; own chairs; four-legged friends.

Persons who violate these regulations will not be admitted or expelled from the event site. In such a case, the ticket loses its validity and there is no entitlement to a replacement.

Kino am Olympiasee is handicapped accessible and also easily accessible by wheelchair. A disabled toilet is on site.

People who are blind or hard of hearing can attend selected shows thanks to the Greta app. Experience accessible cinema that is really fun – on your own and independently, alone or with friends. Just download the app and off you go.

Do you have a disability card with a registered companion? Book a place in the Picnic Cinema category and send us this booking with a copy of your disability card to info -at- kinoamolympiasee.de at least three working days before your visit. We will respond with a free ticket for your companion.

The Assembly Venue Ordinance for the Olympic Park as well as the conditions of Stadtwerke München GmbH (SWM) for the use of the sunbathing lawn of the Olympic swimming pool stipulate: Unfortunately, four-legged friends cannot be brought along.

The great backdrop for Kino am Olympiasee is the century architecture of the Olympic Park from 1972. The park is one of the most popular destinations for Munich residents in summer.

In our cozy Jungle Beer Garden directly on the Olympic Lake, we offer you delicious pasta dishes (also vegetarian) and Chili sin carne, as well as sweet and salty popcorn and the cinema classic nachos.

We serve cool Hofbräu beers, summertime spritz drinks and cocktails, good wines and a wide range of soft drinks and Wolfra juice spritzers.

Feel free to take a look at our packages and our saver menus.

You are welcome to bring food, please pack it unbreakably.

With the exception of your own water bottle (up to 0.5 liters, shatterproof), you are not permitted to bring any beverages. Go to the Olympic Tower, from there it is 100m to our entrance directly on the Olympic Lake.

Kino am Olympiasee takes place on the open space of the Olympic swimming hall, Coubertinplatz 1, Olympic Park Munich.

Parking spaces (chargeable) are usually available in sufficient quantities on the Olympic Tower parking deck.

We recommend travelling by bike or public transport. Public transport: U3 Olympiapark or Bus 173 Eissportstadion.

Kino am Olympiasee opens daily 30 minutes before the first event. During the week, that’s around 5:30 p.m.; on Fridays, weekends, and holidays, it’s around 3:00 p.m.

Even if your event doesn’t start until later, you’re always welcome to come by and relax in our Jungle Beer Garden right on the shores of the Olympic Lake.

You can find the start time of your event in our program and on your tickets.

Our events take place in all weathers.

For fire safety reasons, you are not allowed to bring your own chairs.

Smoking is permitted in our Jungle Beer Garden. Smoking is not permitted in the hall.

Kino am Olympiasee takes place on the open space of the Olympic swimming pool. The consumption of cannabis is not permitted in the vicinity of sports facilities.

Tickets are available online, we don’t have a ticket office on site. You can also book online if a show has already started.

No free choice of seats, your tickets are numbered. Choose from the categories Olympic Lounge (covered), Love-Seat (bookable in a pack of 2), Deckchair Parquet, Deckchair Rang and Picnic Cinema. At the picnic cinema, you can bring your cuddly blanket for the sunbathing lawn or use our cuddly blanket sale.

We will collect your contact details when you purchase your ticket. Of course, we strictly observe data protection (DSVGO) here.

Young people under the age of 16 may only visit Kino am Olympiasee if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Young people under the age of 18 only if the respective event ends before 12 p.m. Please also pay attention to the age rating of the respective event.

We do not assume any liability for ticket purchases that do not comply with these youth protection regulations.

Which regulations currently apply to admission depends on the incidence. On the Corona information page of the KVR Munich you can find out whether, for example, there is a testing requirement.

From the entrance to the gastronomy to the toilets, we have designed Kino am Olympiasee to be contactless. There are sufficient disinfection stations on site.
